From Anike
Hey, I’m Anike!
You might’ve known me as Wande, but I changed my name because I wanted every part of my life, even what people call me, to reflect the God I serve. Anike means “someone you cherish, care for, love, and don’t take for granted,” and that’s exactly how my Creator sees me and how He sees you too.
God made me versatile. I’ve lived with gang members, gone to school with suburban kids, had no money, done life with millionaires, and seen the immigrant experience up close. Somewhere along the way I met Jesus, and He’s never failed me. Through every circle I’ve been in, I noticed everybody wanted the same things: love, hope, purpose, belonging, and encouragement. I found all of that in Him, and I can’t keep it to myself.
That’s what my new EP, Save Everybody, is about. It’s me becoming all things to all people, through hype rap, vibey introspective records, and bright pop, so that somebody out there feels seen, feels encouraged, and gets introduced to Jesus.
To everyone seeing this message: there’s hope, and His name is Jesus.
If you want to know the things I talk to God about, you can listen here.
Notes to God
Not ready to say it out loud?
Write it down. It’s anonymous. Your note gets pinned to the wall with everyone else’s.
The wall is waiting. Be the first to leave a note.
Stories from the booth
Everybody’s carrying something.
Every person you pass has a life as full as yours. These are a few of them.
